    In 1956, in China's 12-year science and technology development vision plan, semiconductor science and technology was listed as one of the four national emergency measures for new technology at that time. In order to create a research and development base for semiconductor science and technology in China, the state established the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Semiconductor Institute") in Beijing on September 6, 1960, which opened the road to the development of semiconductor science and technology in China.
